PINS Advantage does not publish a price. It publishes the bands its price is built on. The PINS pricing page asks for your annual COI volume in one of six ranges, under 100, 100 to 250, 250 to 500, 500 to 1,000, 1,000 to 2,000 and 2,000 or more, plus a work email, and a sales rep sends the number. So the honest answer to "how much does PINS cost" is that your annual certificate count decides it, and you will not see a figure until you submit the form.
Everything below was checked against pinsadvantage.com and the AGC of California member page in October 2026. Where PINS publishes nothing, this article says so rather than guessing.
What PINS Advantage pricing is based on
PINS prices on annual COI volume, not on users and not on projects. The six bands on the pricing form are the only structured pricing information the company publishes. That choice has two practical consequences for a buyer.
First, your count is certificates, not vendors. A subcontractor on three jobs with separate certificates per job, or a vendor that renews mid-year and sends a fresh certificate, can count more than once depending on how PINS defines a submission. Ask the rep to confirm whether a renewal, a revised certificate and an endorsement attachment each count against the band.
Second, the bands are wide at the top. Everything from 2,000 certificates up sits in one range, so a large general contractor or airport authority is negotiating, not reading a rate card.
What every PINS subscription includes
PINS states on its pricing page that "every PINS subscription includes the full COI tracking workflow: certificate collection, AI-assisted endorsement review, renewal follow-up, exception and waiver documentation, and audit-ready reporting," and that implementation support and a dedicated contact are included. Optional add-ons are mentioned without detail.
That list is broader than many quote-only competitors put in writing. Two items deserve a direct question on the sales call:
- AI-assisted endorsement review. The PINS homepage says its AI "reads every submission in full, covering COIs and the endorsements," and that "your team decides what happens next." In other words the software flags, and your staff approve. There is no published licensed-reviewer service in the subscription.
- Integrations. PINS names native Procore and Vista Viewpoint integrations plus an API, and lists Power BI, Workday, Tyler Munis and New World, COINS and PropWorks as systems customers connect through that API. The integrations page does not say whether API access costs extra, only that credentials are "provided when API access is enabled." Get that in writing.
Is there a PINS Advantage discount?
Yes, one is published. The Associated General Contractors of California tells its members they can receive a 10% discount on PINS software. That is the only public discount we found. If you belong to another AGC chapter or a construction trade association, it is worth asking whether a similar arrangement exists, since PINS built its customer base in California construction and public works.
What PINS Advantage is likely to cost
Nobody outside PINS and its customers knows the rate card, and we will not invent one. The closest thing to a public estimate comes from a competitor: Billy, a rival COI platform, puts PINS at roughly $500 to $3,000 or more per month, and says the figure rests on industry benchmarks rather than on PINS data. Treat it as a rival's guess.
For context, here is what the platforms that do publish a rate charge, so you can sanity-check a PINS quote at your volume.
| Platform | Published price | Pricing unit |
|---|---|---|
| PINS Advantage | Not published, six volume bands | Annual COI volume |
| BCS | $0.95 per vendor per month self-service; $17.80 per vendor per year full service with a $10,000 annual minimum | Vendor |
| Evident | $15 and $25 per vendor per year in vendor-count bands | Vendor |
| COISoftware | Starter 49 dollars a month, Plus 149 dollars a month, about half billed yearly | Certificates read per month |
A fuller side-by-side of every platform that publishes anything is on our COI tracking software pricing page.
Questions to ask before you accept a PINS quote
Because the only public unit is the band, the quote is where the real terms live. These are the questions that change the total most.
- What counts as one COI? Renewals, revised certificates, endorsement attachments and per-project certificates can each be counted or not. Ask for the definition in the order form.
- What happens if we cross a band mid-term? Ask whether you are billed up immediately, at renewal, or not at all, and whether the band resets each year.
- Is API access included? PINS lists an API next to Procore and Vista, and many of its public-agency customers connect through it to finance systems. Confirm whether enabling it is part of the base price.
- What is the contract term? PINS publishes no term or cancellation policy on its pricing page. Ask for monthly, annual and multi-year prices side by side.
- Who reviews the endorsements? The AI flags issues and your team decides. If you need a licensed reviewer to sign off, ask whether any add-on provides one and what it costs.
- Does the AGC discount, or any association discount, apply? The published one is 10% for AGC of California members.
When PINS is worth the quote
PINS is a real fit for some buyers, and it is fair to say where. If you run projects in Procore or Vista Viewpoint and want compliance status inside that system, its native integrations are an advantage most self-serve tools do not match. Public agencies benefit from its experience with airports and cities, which shows in the logos on its homepage, including Denver International Airport and Los Angeles World Airports. And PINS says implementation support and a named contact come with every subscription, which matters to a team without a dedicated risk analyst.
Its weak point for a buyer is the process, not the product. You cannot see a price, start a trial or test the AI on your own certificate without a sales conversation. If that is a dealbreaker, our PINS Advantage alternative page compares the two side by side.
A published-price option you can test today
COISoftware publishes every plan on its pricing page: Starter at 49 dollars a month and Plus at 149 dollars a month, both about half that billed yearly, with no setup fee and no annual minimum. You can upload a certificate on the homepage without an account, then sign up for a one-time ten-document demo, so you can check how endorsement pages and limits are read on your own documents before anyone quotes you anything. Vendors upload through a link with no login and no fee, and every plan exports to Excel and CSV, with an API on Pro. If you want compliance status flowing into Power BI or a finance system, a general data integration platform can move that export on a schedule without custom code.
We do not have native Procore or Vista connectors, and we do not offer human review. If those two things decide your purchase, PINS deserves its quote. If your priority is knowing the cost before a call, and testing extraction yourself, start with the demo. Construction teams comparing more than two platforms should read our best COI tracking software for construction comparison, and Procore shops can see how we work alongside it on COI tracking for Procore.
PINS Advantage pricing FAQ
How much does PINS Advantage cost?
PINS Advantage does not publish a price. It quotes by annual COI volume in six bands from under 100 to over 2,000 certificates, after you submit your volume and a work email. The only public dollar estimate comes from a competitor, which labels it a benchmark rather than PINS data.
Does PINS Advantage have a free trial?
No free trial is published. The PINS site offers demos booked through sales. If you want to test certificate reading on your own documents before talking to anyone, a platform with a self-serve demo is the faster route.
Is PINS priced per user?
No. PINS prices on annual COI volume, according to its pricing page, so adding staff does not change the band. The number of certificates you collect in a year does.
Does PINS Advantage integrate with Procore?
Yes. PINS lists native Procore and Vista Viewpoint integrations and an API. It does not state on the integrations page whether API access costs extra, so confirm that in the quote.
Is there a discount on PINS Advantage?
AGC of California members can receive a 10% discount on PINS software. We found no other published discount.
