Certificial publishes prices for its two smallest requestor plans and quotes the largest one. The Certificial pricing page lists Requestor Basic free for up to 5 suppliers, Requestor Professional at "Starts at $99/mo" with unlimited users, and Requestor Enterprise behind a Contact Us button. Insureds, agents and brokers use the platform at $0. So a company tracking vendor certificates pays somewhere from nothing to a quoted Enterprise figure, and the only published paid number is the $99 monthly floor.

We checked every figure below against certificial.com in October 2026. Where Certificial publishes nothing, this article says so instead of guessing.

Certificial pricing plans in 2026

Certificial sells to two sides of the certificate. The company that asks for proof of insurance (Certificial calls it the requestor) pays. The insured business and its insurance agent do not. Here is everything the pricing page states, plan by plan.

PlanWho it is forPublished priceWhat the page says it includes
Requestor BasicCompanies collecting COIsFree, "Try it Free"Track compliance of up to 5 suppliers
Requestor ProfessionalCompanies collecting COIsStarts at $99/moBasic features plus unlimited users per company
Requestor EnterpriseCompanies collecting COIsNot published, Contact UsProfessional features, all of your suppliers, concierge migration support
InsuredThe vendor or subcontractor$0Invite agents, share COIs 24/7, respond to requests
Agent and BrokerThe insurance agency$0Issue smart COIs, respond to requests, self-service COIs for clients

Two things stand out. Certificial is one of the few COI platforms that prints a paid figure at all, and the figure is low enough that a small team can start without a procurement process. But the Professional plan has no supplier count next to it, and Enterprise is the only plan described as covering "all of your suppliers". That gap is where the real price lives.

What the $99 starting price does and does not tell you

"Starts at" is doing a lot of work on that page. Here is what is missing, so you know what to ask before you sign:

  • No supplier limit for Professional. Basic names 5 suppliers. Enterprise names all of them. Professional names neither, which suggests the price moves with your supplier count. Ask what a Professional plan costs at your actual vendor number, not at the minimum.
  • No per-supplier rate. The requestor page has a "Cost per supplier" row in its comparison table, but it shows dollar-sign icons instead of a number. One dollar sign for Certificial against two for certificate management systems tells you Certificial thinks it is cheaper. It does not tell you by how much.
  • Two descriptions of the same plan. The pricing page says Professional "Includes Basic features". The requestor page says it "Includes Individual & Small Biz features". The pricing page intro also says the service is free for requestors "with up to 5 Insureds" while the Basic card says 5 suppliers. These probably mean the same thing, but get the plan contents in writing.
  • No annual or monthly toggle. The page shows a monthly figure only. Ask whether yearly billing changes it, and whether the contract is annual even when the price is quoted per month.

None of this makes Certificial expensive. It means the $99 figure is a floor for a small program, not a rate card you can multiply.

Why insureds, agents and brokers pay nothing

Certificial is built as a network. Its pitch is that the insured's agency connects to its Smart COI Network, so coverage data flows from the agency instead of a vendor emailing a PDF. The requestor page lists "Automatically receive updates to coverage changes and renewals" and "Continuously monitor suppliers' policies" as the things a normal certificate management system does not do. For that model to work, agents and vendors have to join, which is why their side is free and the requestor carries the cost.

That has a practical effect on value, not on the invoice. On the published plans you pay the same price whether 10 percent or 90 percent of your vendors' agencies are connected, but you only get live monitoring on the connected ones. For the rest, you are back to collecting and reading certificates. Before you buy, send Certificial a list of your largest vendors and ask how many of their agencies are already on the network. That one number tells you whether you are buying live policy data or a document tracker with a network attached.

How much does Certificial cost for 25, 100 or 500 vendors?

The honest answer is that only the first row of this table is public. We would rather show you where the published information ends than invent the rest.

Program sizeLikely planWhat Certificial publishesWhat to ask for
Up to 5 suppliersBasicFreeNothing, start here
25 to 100 suppliersProfessionalStarts at $99/mo, no supplier cap statedThe monthly price at your exact count
500 suppliersProfessional or EnterpriseNothingBoth quotes, plus migration terms
All suppliers, large programEnterpriseNothing, Contact UsQuote, contract length, concierge migration scope

If you are building a budget line before a sales call, use the $99 monthly floor as the minimum and expect the quote to rise with supplier count. If your finance team needs the full number up front, that is the main reason buyers look at a Certificial alternative with document-based COI tracking that publishes every tier.

Certificial pricing compared with other COI tracking software

Most COI tracking vendors publish nothing. The ones that publish something make Certificial easier to place. Every figure in this table is linked to the page we read it on.

PlatformFree way inPublished paid priceHow the price moves
CertificialFree for up to 5 suppliersProfessional starts at $99/mo; Enterprise quotedNot stated; likely supplier count
TrustLayerStarter free up to 50 vendors$10 per additional vendor per month on Starter; Pro and Complete quotedPer vendor
EvidentNone$15 to $25 per vendor per year, banded from 200 third partiesPer vendor, by tier
CertFocus (Vertikal RMS)None$6 to $8 per vendor per year with a $7,500 annual minimum (self-service)Per vendor, floored by the minimum
COISoftwareOne-time 10-document demo, no cardStarter $49 a month ($24 billed yearly), Plus $149 ($74 billed yearly)Certificates read per month

Read across the rows and the pattern is clear. Certificial is the cheapest way in for a very small program and has the lowest published paid floor among the network platforms. The platforms that charge per vendor get expensive as a program grows, and the ones with minimums are expensive when it is small. The full list of every rate, minimum and setup fee we could verify is on our COI tracking software pricing page.

Is Certificial worth the cost?

Certificial is worth it when a large share of your vendors' agencies are already on its network, because then you get coverage changes and cancellations pushed to you rather than discovering them at renewal. That is something a document tracker cannot do. It also suits teams that want to start for free with a handful of key suppliers and grow from there.

It is a weaker fit in a few situations. One is when most of your vendors use small regional agencies that are not connected, so you would pay for a network you rarely use. Another is when your requirements turn on endorsement wording, such as CG 20 10 and CG 20 37 additional insured forms or a waiver of subrogation, because live policy data tells you a policy exists and what its limits are, not what the endorsement page says. The last is when you need a full price for a large program before a call, since Enterprise is quoted. We compare the two approaches head to head on Certificial vs TrustLayer and Certificial vs myCOI.

Questions to ask Certificial before you sign

  1. What does Professional cost per month at our exact supplier count, and where does Enterprise start?
  2. How many of our largest vendors' agencies are already connected to the network?
  3. For unconnected vendors, does the platform read the certificate and the endorsement pages, or only the ACORD 25?
  4. Is the contract annual or monthly, and is there a yearly discount?
  5. What does concierge migration include, and is it available below Enterprise?
  6. Do our vendors or their agents ever pay anything, now or at renewal?

If supplier onboarding at your company already runs through a B2B procurement platform, also ask how vendor records and insurance status sync into it, because maintaining two supplier lists is where compliance gaps usually start.

When a published-price COI tool is the cheaper answer

If your vendors send certificates as PDFs from many different agencies, the cost that matters is reading them accurately, not network coverage. That is the job COISoftware does. You upload or forward any COI, our AI reads the ACORD 25 and the endorsement pages attached to it, and checks limits, additional insured status, waiver of subrogation and expiration against the rules you set. Pricing is on the page: Starter is $49 a month and Plus is $149, half that billed yearly, with no annual minimum and no charge to your vendors.

The quickest way to compare is with one of your own certificates. Upload a COI at the top of this page, see what it reads in seconds, and then decide whether you need a network or a reader. If you are still shortlisting, our best COI tracking software comparison covers fifteen platforms on price, review depth and who each one fits.

Certificial pricing questions

How much does Certificial cost?

Certificial costs nothing for up to 5 suppliers on Requestor Basic, and Requestor Professional starts at $99 a month with unlimited users, according to the Certificial pricing page. Enterprise, which covers all of your suppliers and adds concierge migration, is quoted. The page does not say how many suppliers Professional covers.

Is Certificial free?

Certificial is free for insureds, agents and brokers, and free for requestors tracking up to 5 suppliers on the Basic plan. A company tracking more than 5 vendors needs Professional or Enterprise. Free accounts on the insured and agent side exist so vendors and agencies will join the network that requestors pay to use.

Does Certificial have a free trial?

Certificial offers a "Try it Free" Basic plan rather than a time-limited trial of a paid plan. It lets you track up to 5 suppliers with Basic features. To test Professional features such as unlimited users at your real vendor count, ask for a demo or a trial period in writing before you commit.

Who pays for Certificial, the vendor or the company?

The company requesting certificates pays. Certificial lists the Insured plan and the Agent and Broker plan at $0, so your vendors and their insurance agents do not pay to share coverage with you. This is the opposite of vendor-pay credentialing networks, where the subcontractor buys a membership to work for you.
