SNMP Trap Capability
iSNMP Agent can issue SNMP traps based on monitored values exceeding user-defined alarm limits. Alarms for monitored data can be configured to support boolean, analog and string values from field devices. Analog alarm values can be set for Low/Low, Low, High and High/High values, with each alarm level creating a unique SNMP trap message. SNMP trap messages sent include tag name, data value at the time of alarm, the type of alarm triggered as well as a unique text string associated with the alarm condition experienced. Since iSNMP Agent acts as an extension of the Microsoft Windows SNMP agent, multiple trap destinations can be configured; read and read/write privileges to the iSNMP MIB can be controlled. iSNMP Agent leverages the power and flexibility of the tested and proven Microsoft SNMP agent running in the server in which it is installed.
Continuous Monitoring Capability
iSNMP Agent stores real-time updates of monitored values into the iSNMP Management information database (MIB). The IndustrialSNMP MIB is an IETP-registered private MIB, and a MIB document file is supplied with the iSNMP Agent for rapid integration with your network management system. This MIB data can be accessed in real time by the SNMP management system, and current values for any monitored "tag" can be gathered even when alarm limits have not been exceeded.
Remote/Multiple OPC Driver Support
If your application calls for gathering data from several separate OPC drivers located throughout your facility, iSNMP Agent can handle it! iSNMP Agent can support more than one OPC driver located anywhere on the Ethernet LAN in which that iSNMP server is installed. Simply browse the network and incorporate the OPC driver "tag(s)" into the iSNMP Agent editor.
OPC Driver Browsing
iSNMP Agent allows you to browse the database of your OPC drivers while configuring your SNMP trap and MIB data groups. This time-saving feature makes incorporating plant-floor data into the iSNMP Agent simple and fast. The iSNMP Agent can browse OPC drivers located on the local server or across your network.
HMI Support
In addition to OPC drivers designed to access data directly from field I/O networks, iSNMP Agent can also gather real-time data from any OPC server application. Examples of OPC server applications include HMI packages, such as Wonderware Intouch, Intellution iFIX, GE Cimplicity and others. iSNMP Agent can create the bridge that you have been searching for between your HMI and enterprise monitoring systems.
